DESCRIPTION:📅 You’re warmly invited to our AGM\, which this year will take place at Augustine United Church in Edinburgh on Saturday\, 24th May\, from 11am to 2pm. For those unable to attend in person\, we will also have a Zoom option available\, so you can join us remotely! \n🎤 This year’s AGM promises to be an exciting event\, because it is about rejuvenating the independence campaign and working on promising projects. We’ll have inspirational guest speakers and will be holding elections for our National Committee. Our committee consists of 16 members\, with two representatives per region\, following the Holyrood electoral boundaries for regions. \n✅ If you’re passionate about shaping the future of the independence movement\, winning independence\, and ensuring women are involved at the centre of it\, please consider putting your name forward for a place on the National Committee and/or getting involved as an ordinary member. \n📧 Please email our National Coordinator at info@womenforindependence.org if you want to consider a role. DESCRIPTION:You are warmly invited to our AGM\, which this year will take place online\, on Saturday 25th November\, from 10am till 1pm.   \nWe’re using the medium of zoom\, to allow as many women as possible to attend from across the country\, with as little financial and time cost as possible. The zoom invitation will be sent to you a few days before the AGM\, once your ticket order (below) has been ratified. \nAgenda \nThe main theme of the day will be to consider Women for Independence’s response and engagement with the proposed Constitutional Convention and nationwide consultation\, if the SNP win the next General Election. \nWe also need your input to drive our plans for next year. We are delighted that many local WFI groups have continued to be active in the last 12 months\, both in terms of engaging with women and in arranging events and speakers. During this AGM\, we’d love to hear from all of you\, to decide what you would like our priorities to be for actions\, campaigns and events in the next year\, including National Councils. We want to make the biggest impact possible\, with the resources available to us. \nThe more formal part of the morning will include minutes of the last AGM\, organisation and branch activity reports and our financial statement.But the AGM is also about catching up with old friends and meeting new ones – and\, of course\, our famous Open Mic sessions! \nAttendance at the AGM is open to all members\, and registrations will be ratified to make sure that your membership is up to date. You can also check your membership by logging into the members area of the website on www.wfi.scot\, or by emailing our National Coordinator at info@womenforindependence.org. As per our constitution\, only those attending the AGM have a vote on any resolutions or decisions taken on the day. \nWe look forward to seeing you there! \n
