We promote the causes of Scottish independence and other constitutional changes likely to contribute to greater democracy and home-rule for Scotland, gender equality and social justice. We do this through a network of individuals and organised groups across Scotland, and by working to increase women’s political engagement, nationally and in communities.

Women for Independence is delighted to announce the 2021 AGM, which will take place on Saturday 20th November, at 11am. We hope to see you there! This year's theme is 'Sisters Across Borders'. We'll be hearing from women based in other small countries and learning about their strategies for independence. It should be an uplifting day and one which we hope will give us inspiration for our own campaigning .Many of you will have attended our past AGMs and will know that they are welcoming places where we celebrate the successes of women, catch up with old friends and make new ones. We hope that this year will be no different in these respects, despite Coronavirus making it necessary to conduct the AGM online. The AGM is open to members only, so if you'd like to attend, do please check that your membership has not lapsed. You can do this by logging into the members area of our old website, here:https://www.womenforindependence.org ... See MoreSee Less
