Statement

Thank you, Nicola Sturgeon.

WFI would like to express its sadness in hearing of Nicola Sturgeon’s decision to step down as First Minister. We would also like to thank Ms Sturgeon for all that she has done for Scotland – and to further to cause of Scottish Independence.

Poverty is a political choice. So we can choose to eradicate it.

The Cost of Living Crisis is tearing our country apart – and Scotland’s whole budget depends on the UK Government deciding what they will give us. With Truss ignoring Sturgeon and Labour refusing to talk to the SNP, how do we make our voice heard? For all of us but particularly women in Scotland who are already in poverty or close to it, this is really worrying. Many of us are struggling to keep our heads above water, we are drowning under the weight of poverty and worry.
